Chuch faces big repair bills

A meeting when all will be explained - don't miss it!

A temporary exclusion zone where there is the risk of falling masonry.

A brief summary of the problem and plans to tackle it - by The Rev Sheila

Late last year we got the news that our beautiful, historic church is in need of some serious TLC. Urgent work is required to make the tower safe and the roof watertight which will give us
some breathing space before embarking on repair of the entire roof (gulp).

After 140 years of wear and tear it deserves our attention. We are holding a meeting in the Village Hall on Thursday 21st February at 7.30pm when we would like to tell you more about the issues that we have and to answer any questions you may have about the works.

We do realise that this date clashes with a few other meetings happening in the village that evening. To that end we will be serving refreshments at 7.30pm and there will be displays up
including copies of the architect’s inspection report for you see and then hopefully we can start our presentation just after 8pm.

If you are unable to attend but would like more information please email Rev Sheila.
If you can help financially or have a fundraising idea or would like to get involved in applying for grants, we'd love to hear from you. Thisis a mammoth task so the more helpers we have the better.

With many thanks, Sheila
