 Time for a nice
relaxing bath

BATH TIME for residents at the Pinnawela Elephant Orphange in Sri Lanka. Many come as babies

which have been rescued after being abandoned by their mothers or after the mother has been shot by ivory poachers. The orphange attempts to recreate a natural habitat where the animals can roam freely, allowing a herd structure to form and breeding to take place

The Elephant Orphanage is now a popular tourist attraction while providing a valuable
service in preserving animal numbers.
